It’s time for another feast at Plas Brondanw Caffi and this time we will be visiting the Far East! I will be cooking authentic dishes from various countries across South East Asia, which is known for its vibrant and fresh flavours. Perfect to counteract these dark, cold winter nights and a far cry from the more traditional Christmas fayre!
You will be welcomed with a Singapore Sling cocktail and an Asian inspired amuse bouche.
Places usually fill up quickly so book early. I will need all bookings in by 26th November please.
Looking forward to it! Lowri.
Plas Brondanw cafe will be closing for Winter on the 3oth of September. Until then we will be serving tea, coffee and cakes from 10am until 3pm.
I would like to thank everyone who have visited us since re-opening in March, it has been a great season and I have met lots of lovely people.
I will be holding a number of foodie evenings in the cafe over the Winter months, details of which will be posted here, on Facebook and Twitter.
The Gardens remain open all year round as usual. There is an honesty box on the other side of the big blue gates for admissions/ donations.
Again, thank you for all your support. We will be re-opening Easter 2017 and I look forward to welcoming you back next season.
Ok, so because of the heavy rain forecast on Saturday 26th we have decided to change the date of our Easter Egg Hunt to Friday 25th. We really hope this doesn’t mess up people’s plans too much and that you can still come.
12pm £2 per child, parents/carers free admission into gardens.
Caffi open as normal.
Please bring your own bags/ baskets/ bonnets!
We are pleased to announce that the Plas Brondanw Caffi and Shop will be up and running again on Monday, the 21st of March. Opening hours 10pm – 5pm, every day.
I have been busy restocking the Shop with crafts from Welsh suppliers such as Peris & Corr, Grasi, Free as a Breeze, Tweedmill, Anne Smith Glass Design, as well as some suppliers that are immediately local to the area of Llanfrothen itself.
In the Caffi I have tweaked the menu a little, but the popular Brondanw Salad Plates are still available, as well as our lovely homemade cakes and various salad specials . During November I was busy making the Plas Chutney using the apples from the Gardens so that will be nicely matured by now, perfect with the delicious Welsh Rarebit!
During the Winter months we have held some very succesful theme evenings. Everyone had a really good time and have made me promise to repeat them again next year!! Thanks to everyone who attended.
We are now looking forward to a busy Spring and Summer season. Please come visit us, the gardens are looking fantastic despite the wet windy weather we’ve had, thanks to our gardeners, Peter Hill and Dylan Williams.
An Egg Hunt will be held here again last year, after the success and fun of last year!! Children 9 years and older will be hunting in the “Gwyllt” opposite the gardens and cafe to make it fairer for the littler ones and more exciting for the older ones, so please remember to bring sturdy shoes or wellies.
Remember hunt starts at 12pm and it’s first come first served. There will be enough eggs for everyone, however if you turn up at 2pm I cannot guarantee there will be anything left!
Caffi Plas Brondanw will be closing for the season towards the end of September/ beginning of October so do make sure that you come for your last visit before then!
The gardens, however, remain open every day of the week throughout the year between 10a.m and 5p.m and there is an honesty box behind the gate for entrance fees.
We will be holding a number of theme evenings and Christmas parties over the coming months. All will need to be pre-booked and will be advertised on this website and on Facebook and Twitter.
Thank you all for your support and visits this season and if you can’t make it one last time before we close, we look forward to welcoming you back in the Spring.
All the best,
Lowri and team!
